Terms & Conditions 

By booking a trip with GoHappyTrails, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are meant to ensure clarity, transparency, and the safety of all travelers associated with our trips.


1. Payment Terms

  • Full payment of the trip cost must be completed prior to the start of the trip.
  • Failure to complete payment on time may lead to automatic cancellation of the booking without refund.
  • Any last-minute bookings must be paid in full at the time of confirmation.

2. Identification & Boarding

  • All travelers must carry valid Government-issued photo ID and present it for verification before boarding.
  • No boarding will be allowed without valid ID verification.
  • Names on the booking must match ID documents. Transfers of bookings or name changes are not permitted.

3. Passport Validity (For International Trips)

  • For international travel, the traveler’s passport must be valid for at least six (6) months from the intended date of travel and must be in good condition.
  • GoHappyTrails is not responsible for any issues arising from invalid, expired, or damaged passports.
  • Any denial of entry or deportation and subsequent expenses are the sole responsibility of the traveler.

4. Content Ownership

  • All photos, videos, and other media content created during trips (by GoHappyTrails content creators or clients) are the intellectual property of GoHappyTrails.
  • Such content may be used by GoHappyTrails for promotional and advertising purposes across digital and print media.
  • No media content may be used for commercial or promotional purposes by clients without prior written permission from GoHappyTrails.

5. Inclusions & Non-Usage

  • No refunds shall be made for any inclusions not availed by the client during the trip, including meals, activities, or transportation.

6. Luggage Responsibility

  • Travelers are responsible for their own belongings throughout the trip.
  • GoHappyTrails shall not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to luggage or personal items.

7. Timeliness & Departure

  • Travelers must report at the designated pickup point at least 30 minutes before departure.
  • Departure times are fixed. In case a traveler misses the bus, no refunds shall be provided.
  • Trip coordinators will attempt to contact the traveler twice before departure, but further delays cannot be accommodated.

8. Vehicle Policy

  • Air conditioning will be turned off in hilly areas for safety and performance reasons.
  • The decision to use or discontinue AC during the journey lies with the vehicle driver based on route conditions.

9. Conduct During the Trip

  • GoHappyTrails promotes a respectful, inclusive, and community-oriented travel environment.
  • Any misconduct, harassment, or indiscipline will result in strict action, which may include removal from the tour at the traveler’s expense.
  • Alcohol consumption and smoking are strictly prohibited during group travel, treks, or other outdoor activities for safety reasons.

10. Fitness & Health Advisory

  • Our trips often include physically demanding activities such as trekking, camping, and high-altitude travel. Travelers should ensure they are medically fit to participate.
  • Travelers with existing medical conditions are advised to consult their physician before booking.

11. Medical Emergencies & Evacuation

  • In case of illness or injury during the trip, external transport or evacuation services may be arranged.
  • Any costs related to such services, medical treatment, or hospitalization are to be borne entirely by the traveler or their family.
  • GoHappyTrails does not provide travel insurance. Travelers are encouraged to obtain personal insurance to cover emergencies, health issues, or theft.

12. Itinerary Changes & Force Majeure

  • GoHappyTrails reserves the right to modify or cancel itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as:
    • Natural disasters, extreme weather, landslides, or roadblocks
    • Political unrest or government restrictions
    • Operational or technical issues
  • In such cases, alternate arrangements will be made in the interest of traveler safety, but no refunds shall be applicable for missed or canceled services.

13. Limitation of Liability

  • GoHappyTrails, its agents, and affiliated personnel are not responsible for:
    • Accidents, injuries, or loss of life
    • Loss or damage to personal belongings
    • Delays, missed connections, or any indirect costs incurred
    • Acts, errors, or negligence by third-party service providers
  • All participation is at the traveler’s own risk.

14. Acceptance of Risk

  • Adventure travel involves a degree of risk. By booking with GoHappyTrails, travelers acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with such experiences.

15. Final Authority

  • The decision of the trip captain or coordinator is final in all matters concerning group safety, itinerary changes, or conduct issues.

GoHappyTrails reserves the right to refuse service or cancel participation for any traveler violating the above terms.
